Production Co-ordinator
$35,000 - $50,000 a year


  • Source and coordinate directly with all vendor resources, domestic & international.
  • Secure, coordinate and monitor product samples, negotiate pricing, prepare product costing, product specifications and secure information on a timely basis.
  • This will include developing relationships with vendors, attending markets (as required) , securing samples, images and all tasks required to secure goods for sales.
  • Confirm availability of stock from domestic vendors.
  • Enter orders and issue POs to various vendors.
  • Update pricing and product descriptions in computer system.
  • Prepare client Quotes, sales support.
  • Coordinate with Creative team and issue artwork and paperwork to vendors.
  • Monitor and manage off-shore production. Manage vendor communication to ensure that all production is on schedule for dead line dates.
  • Coordinate production schedules: track components or product to ensure product arrives in time for production or delivery.
  • Prepare applications for Third Party Testing and Inspection.
  • Inventory management. Receive goods.
  • Verify the received orders by comparing the received materials to the ordered list.
  • Reconcile Vendor invoices.
  • Prepare client invoices.
  • Ensure that all costs and shipping are accounted for and deals are profitable.
  • Arrange shipment of goods to suppliers, clients and for Tradeshows.
  • Assist in packing samples for client meetings.
  • Deal with returning or returned goods.

Desired skills and experience

  • University degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-6 years of product development or sourcing experience with domestic and international vendors for finished goods and material/component, preferably textiles.
  • Ability to calculate costs including bill of materials, freight & duty.
  • Knowledge of shipping & tariff codes for international products.
  • Experience in Product development from concept to packaging, including sourcing domestic goods, developing goods through sources in India and China.
  • Experience working with Third Party Testing and Inspection companies (SGS, Bureau Veritas etc.) an asset.
  • Experience working in a computerized environment and proficient in the use of MS Office. Knowledge of ShopWorks and asset.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Flexible and easy to adapt to changing environments and situations.
  • Results oriented, with focus on deadlines and quality of deliverables.
  • Ability to problem solve and to exercise appropriate independent judgement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Maintain showroom
  • Tag Samples and send to clients

 Candidate Competencies ---education, experience, skills:

  • Social media knowledge and experience
  • Retail experience an asset
  • Solid math skills and ability to work on Mac platform
  • Any experience relevant to duties performed
  • Currently in College or Post diploma

Student will gain experience working in a smaller company with the ability to perform a variety of tasks. Will add to the students “tool kit” as they move forward in his/her prospective career.
